Mercurio, Medals & Markets

Paul Mercurio & his team visited Boosey Creek Cheese earlier this year. Paul joined Ken in making some cheese and watched as Ken did burnouts in Robert's "interceptor". Margi joined Ros Vodusek from Rich Glen olive oil and Anna from Monichino Wines for a BBQ lunch on Lake Mulwala. On the boat they were served Roast Saltbush Lamb & Salsa Rolls cooked especially for them by Paul & Ros. The salsa contained Yarrawonga White (Boosey Creek Cheese's Aussie Fetta). The episode of Mercurio's Menu goes to air Sunday May 8th at 5.30pm on channel 7.


More medals have been won by Boosey Creek Cheese.

At the 2011 Sydney Royal Cheese and Diary Show, Silver Awards went to Warby Red (washed rind) and Oma's Favourite (spiced gouda). Oma's Favourite and its companion cheese Opa's Choice continue to be very popular at markets and with visitors to our farmgate shop. A special reward for some visitors to our farm shop is the opportunity to taste and purchase Grampy's Favourite (vintage cheddar) which is a 2 year old traditional cloth bound cheddar. Unfortunately when it sells out, it sells out until the next rounds to turn 2 years old actually turn 2 (we cant hurry time).


More Markets

It seems like we are doing more and more markets (but we've stopped some & have tested & are testing out some new ones). We had our busiest Easter ever ! (The great weather helped after all those rainy weekends earlier in the year). A big thank you too all our customers who do make it out to markets especially when it is raining.

Upcoming markets include the Beechwork Harvest Festival on both Satuday 14th and Sunday 15th of May. We'll be busy on the Saturday with Ken & Alex taking cheese to Wagga (look for them on the corner) for the 2nd time.
